The aperture is the opening in a lens through which light passes to enter the camera. It is one of the most critical aspects to properly adjust in order to take a perfect photograph.
A larger aperture, in camera terms a lower ‘f/stop’, allows more light to enter the camera as well as reducing the depth of field, creating a blurry background. The separation between what is in focus and what is blurred, also a property of the lens, is referred to as ‘bokeh’.
Aperture Capital Partners provides independent, candid advice drawn from deep experience. Which transactions pass the criteria for success and which should not; as well as ensuring the focus is on what matters and is not distracted by the background seems a fitting parallel.
